An alternative type of hinge covering small and larger door applications. Tarditionally styled H Hinges for use on lighter duties or where there is limited space for mounting the hinges on the door itself. HL hinges for the heavier duty applications where material allows for additional support to be gained from the ‘L’ part of the hinge. Three different sizes are available as standard in blackwaxed finish, complete with fixing screws. .

The Door Latch is made to match the unique rustic home made style of the Heritage T Hinges. A basic Suffolk Latch approx 210mm overall length with a D shaped handle and flattened oval ends. Supplied complete with 150mm lifter bar, keep, staple and fixing screws. Can be supplied with an optional locking pin for bathroom or toilet door applications. Available in a black wax finish as standard, but can be painted or clear lacquer.

The Hertiage range of T Hinges are available to suit most standard width doors and come in 15” or 18” options. Rather rustic and looking more ‘home-made’ than the standard Watercourt hinges, this style offers a more unique design with a sharper taper and terminates in an irregular oval end. Available as a pair complete with black countersunk woodscrews.

To complement the door hinges and latches, the Heritage range includes a Window Catch and Stay. The Window Catch is a Rustic design ending in a curled tail and incorporating a barley twist in the handle. The catches are supplied left or right handed and come complete with countersunk head screws. Keeps can be supplied as a mortise plate or surface mounted for metal windows. The Window Stay is again a rustic design approx 250mm long featuring a twist and ending in a curled tail. Stays are supplied complete with locating pins and countersunk head fixing screws. The standard finish for both stays and catches is Black Wax.

A range of traditional, hand forged T Hinges, suitable for most widths of door. A simple style featuring a gently tapering, faceted doorplate that terminates in a rounded heart-shaped end (left), or our classic arrow-shaped end (middle), or the bean-shaped end (right).

Based on the popular Butterfly and Half Butterfly Hinges, the more delicate and stylish Cabinet Hinges are hand forged from 1mm thick steel, and have more pronounced curves on the butterfly wing. They are ideal for furniture hinge and small cupboard applications. The butterfly section of the hinge is 48mm approx from tip to tip and 32mm wide. The finish is standard black wax applied during the manufacturing process.

An ideal accompaniment to the smaller H, HL and butterfly hinges. Suitable for light duty, one-way internal and cupboard doors applications. Comes complete with lifter bar, knock in staple, keep and all fixings. Can also be supplied with steel locking pin, attached with leather tie. (Select below)

A simple, but effective, means of keeping a period gate or door secure in the open position. One standard length of 230mm (9”), but with the option of a screw in or knock in ring. The Screw in style features the Watercourt arrow head feature. Please specify at the time of ordering.

Manufactured using traditional methods, these simple but decorative 'D' shaped Pull Handles with end detail in either the distinctive arrow shape (top) or bean shape (bottom) feature as standard but can be made with different shapes to suit individual tastes. Made from 10mm round bar. Available with hand grips sized at 75mm, 100mm and 150mm wide. Finished as standard with black wax and supplied complete with Black round head slotted woodscrews.

Originally introduced in East Anglia, Suffolk latches were first used in the 17th Century until around 1825. We produce a standard Suffolk type latch hand forged from 12mm dia round bar. The overall latch length is approximately 210mm and comes complete with knock in staple and keep, together with lifter bar and all fixings. The Watercourt arrow head shaped cusps (left) and thumb plate match those on our complementary range of handles, cupboard latches and door hinges, all of which are an ideal accompaniment. We also offer the Bean-shaped cusps (right). We can supply latches complete with steel locking pin, attached with leather tie.

We can manufacture larger versions of this latch to order, in 16mm and 20mm round bar. All the design features are the same except the oversall latch lengths are approx 250mm (10") and 300mm (12") respectively with the components proportionally larger. Please call us to discuss your needs.
